Adidas Climacool 02.17 Review

Earlier this month I came across the adidas Climacool 02.17’s on an Instagram post and very quickly they became my latest impulse purchase. They have an interesting blend of Yeezy, EQT and Climacool about them which on the website appeared fantastic, when you combine that with the retail price of £80 the outcome was inevitable!

The reality unfortunately was quite different. Upon unwrapping of the tissue paper from inside the box my immediate reaction was hugely underwhelming. The finish of the Climacool mesh material visually looks cheap as does the horrible looking red and black logo on the tongue, it honestly feels like a knockoff of something better.

The comfort doesn’t improve the shoe either; the rigid see-thru plastic on the inside foot digs in and is very noticeable, making them very uncomfortable to wear. I bought a UK 9.5 but feel a 10.5 would have been more appropriate. The styling looks OK at a distance which is the only saving grace for these Climacool 02.17’s – probably one to skip on this time around or at the very least go for one of the other colourways.
