Adidas are literally killing it right now when it comes to new hot releases for footwear.Everything they release at the moment is selling out, fast. I definitely think the collaborations they’ve had with Kanye has helped enormously, as I mentioned in my Yeezy boost review but besides that the styling is what stands out. They’re experimenting a lot with the knitted trainer, lots of styles and designs which, when matched with being extremely comfortable and lightweight turns into a winning combination.
I saw these Tubular X Primeknits on Instagram first and initially thought they were a dodgy rip off of the Yeezy 750 boosts and you can see why; similar colours, shape and ribbed sole, there’s lots of similarities. I imagine these X Primeknits to be one of the many versions of the Yeezy boosts taken from the design studio, they’re like the Uncle of the range.
The Grey colour I bought actually sold out pretty much everywhere as soon as they dropped but I managed to find mine on eBay for an extra £20 (think they were shipped from Germany) – in total costing £135. They are VERY comfortable and lightweight and the styling is just fantastic. One consideration to make note of is to buy a full 1 size below what you usually go for, otherwise they’ll be far too big. Overall these are a great addition to the wardrobe and will be my regulars for a long time.
