Living in London there is more than one disadvantage of owning a traditional styled wallet; firstly due to the size it’s likely to stick out in your front pocket so it will look ugly, it’s not recommended that you put a wallet in your back pocket anywhere in London due to pick pockets. The second reason, a wallet is not practical for Londoners is the frequent use of an Oyster card (this is a payment card for all of London’s transport – train, tube and bus).
So the often popular alternative are the free oyster card holders, which often promote a business or service on the front and back and are made of cheap plastic that last for a few months at a time. Having used this for the last 7 years I decided to purchase a card holder, an accessory I always thought was something old people use.
I looked on a number of sites but found a great looking Burberry one on Farfetch.com that was last seasons but still in the sale which meant it was nearly half price! It’s quite subtle in appearance but you can tell what brand it is on closer inspection – I took some photo’s so please have a look below:
