I just got back from a trip to America for one of my best friends weddings. The location took place in a town called Madison, in Connecticut, New York and it’s a place I’ve never heard about before. It was a short 1 and a half hour train ride from Penn Station in New York and a bunch of my friends and I managed to rent a lovely AirBnb just down the road.
The weather on the day was glorious, perfect for a wedding, early afternoon the grooms men were taken to the farm in an authentic American school bus. The theme of the wedding was based around the location, a working “American farm” so it was a relaxed dress affair. The wedding outfit suggestion for the grooms men was around assorted waistcoats all featuring the same Mustard colour bow tie, so a few weeks ago (yes I left it late) I looked at a few different places including M&S, ASOS and Topman. Eventually I decided on a navy cord waistcoat from ASOS, a plain white shirt, stone coloured fitted chinos and some dark suede lace-ups from Topman. The wedding was amazing, we all had such a great time and my far wedding outfit seemed to go down well too.
