Givenchy Black and White Hi-Top Shoes

So Christmas is fast approaching and it is the season so I treated myself to a Christmas present! I’ve been after a new pair of black hi-tops for a few months and I’d seen the A/W 2013 range from Givenchy, they came in 3 colours; black, red and grey – I decided to go black.

The first thing I noticed when I unwrapped them were just how heavy they were (even more so than my Lanvin hi-tops) – I’d say together they probably weigh over 1 KG.

They have some nice detail on the side and back in the leather as you can see below:

Around the top of the boot there’s a Velcro strap with that helps secure the fit around the ankle.

In terms of fit and comfort i’m still not 100% sure what I think of them – they make a lot of noise when you walk in them, you certainly couldn’t creep up on anyone! Might be the leather and hopefully it will stop once I’ve worn them in. The heel also seems to be very solid and there’s not much give in them which makes walking in them slightly awkward, again I hope this changes after a while.
