Heron Preston is fast becoming the next Virgil Abloh with 2018 definitely being his year to break through into most markets. You can read a good interview with him here but his style and colour choices (specifically orange) are inspired by his appreciation of construction workers and firefighters – more specifically the passion, hard work and sweat and tears that go into those jobs.
Heron Preston has been around for a few years but he’s recently been pushed into the spotlight with a lot of celebrity endorsements. The t-shirt I went for was a white tee with his iconic “Heron” artwork print on the front. I went for a small as the fit is very oversized (I’m usually a big medium) – this is most noticeable on the sleeves and t-shirt length.
The look is great, simple and elegant with some nice details on the front in the form of a bright orange label. It’s not the cheapest t-shirt to exist, costing between £250-£350 depending on the retailer but this is an investment as Heron Preston is only going to increase in popularity.
