As I’ve mentioned in some of my other jeans reviews I find them difficult to buy, usually because I’m in-between normal sizes which most brands don’t cater for. I was on the lookout for a smarter pair of jeans for more formal occasions, typically I buy the darker blue tone with a nice pair of brown brogues. I came across the brand “Racing Green” (formally known as “British Racing Green”) who offer a selection of formal and casual pieces for men – I found a pair of their jeans here.
The jeans arrived quickly and were actually a much nicer quality than I thought they would be, in my experience any jeans under £80 don’t normally fit well and tend to wear out relatively fast – these were priced at £45. The fit on this particular pair was straight in a size 32-30 (I’m usually a 31 waist), it was a good job I ordered a 32 as they only just fit, any smaller and they would have been too small. Those of you looking for a relaxed fit are probably best off ordering a size above for the waist otherwise you might have problems.
The colour I chose was navy Stonewash, the stitching and aging effect looked pretty good, same quality you’d probably expect on a pair of mid-ranged Levis – overall a nice surprise from an unknown brand to me.
